León – Oct 19, 2016

Vic was no better this morning, and maybe a bit worse, so we headed for the University Hospital on the outskirts of the city (taxi, not walking!). The staff and doctor spoke fluent Spanish, but seemed to understand the medical problem. They administered a pint of fluid with some mild drugs in it and sent her on her way with a list of things to eat and not eat. They seem to treat this kind of thing as something that will cure itself. The Canadian medical insurance representative took all the information, and promised to take care of the financial end of things. Once back at the hotel, we chilled for the rest of the day to give her a chance to rest. And not to get too far from her porcelain friend.

  1. Doctors here have the same suggestion for tummy troubles. Let it “run” its course.
